Ski-cot-tour
Especially for the experienced skier, who runs not in problem at red or black pistes, Martin Reichhalter organises weekly a sportive ski tour during winter season in the biggest ski region in Europe. A splendid, unforgettable, adventure, which you may not miss.
Skiing will happen on prepared pistes and because of the distance you have to go daily, a well condition is essential. Skiing will be done with backpack (approx. 25 liters), in which tracksuit, sweater, casual shoes, underwear, toilet things, additional pulli, t-shirt, ski socks, sunglasses and ski goggles are present.
Example of a Ski-cot-tour
- Saturday: meeting point between 09:00 and 11:00 hrs a.m. at parking place Ruacia next to the skipass office at Gardena Express in St Cristina; acquaintance with the guide and companions and subsequently start to the first accommodation Belvedere or Fedaia pass for the first overnight stay.
- Sunday: skiing on the Marmolada, the highest mountain of the Dolomites with 3.312 m, where during the first world war our grandfathers held the fort under very difficult conditions. Onward across the Pardon-pass, Arabba-pass, Campolongo and Pralongia towards Armentarola to the Falzerego-pass.
- Monday: descent on Lagazuoi, then via Colle Gallina and the admirable ski-piste of Cinquetorri next to Cortina, where yearly the world cup-racing takes place. The challenging downhills in Cortina will be followed by the return journey to Falzarego pass.
- Tuesday: after a good night's rest we proceed to Civetta, where every skier gets one’s money worth. Who still hasn’t enough can avail the possibility of night-skiing. The panorama of this skiing-region is stamped by the powerful massif of the Mount Civetta and Mount Pelmo.
- Wednesday: after substantial breakfast we will descent to Alleghe and move to the known ski-region of Tre Valli (dell’amore), Falcade, San Pellegrin-pass and Alp Lusia.
- Thursday: from Alp Lusia a long time descent to Moena and further toward the Fassa-valley to the ski-regions of Bufaure and Ciampedie.
- Friday: comeback across the Sella-pass and Plan de Gralba to St. Cristina. But before ending the tour in St. Christina we will descent via the world cup-racing piste Sasslong, a magnificent challenge. Our last overnight stay will be in St. Christina.
The accommodations are always in mountain-cots with excellent kitchen and good sleeping-accommodations. The guest skies on his own risk and should have a personal travel insurance in case of an accident. The guide doesn’t give ski-lessons, but is anxious to offer an unforgettable week for the members
